Since the early 1900s, the Bison have been a force in the state — and the hardware to prove it.

State Championships: 1905 · 1906 · 1925 · 1936 · 1948 · 1949 · 1954 · 1965 · 1966 · 1969 · 1971 · 1973 · 1974 · 1983 · 1988

Fifteen state titles spanning more than eight decades. From the program's earliest days at the turn of the century, through the dominant runs of the 1940s, '50s, '60s, and '70s, the Bison have consistently been one of the premier programs in Montana football.

State Runner-Up Finishes 1904 · 1910 · 1915 · 1916 · 1921 · 1922 · 1935 · 1938 · 1939 · 1946 · 1967 · 1968 · 1972 · 1985 · 1989 · 1990

Sixteen more seasons that ended just one game short. Thirty-one trips to the mountaintop — 15 times they brought home the title, 16 times they came back hungry for more.

The last title came in 1988. Championship number sixteen is long overdue. The 2025 Bison are working to change that — follow along this season.
